Quinn Akira Takei, Doctor of Oriental Medicine (NM) and Licensed Acupuncturist
has relocated to the Triangle and is now accepting new patients. Starting with an
initial one to two hour appointment during which a detailed and thorough health
history and examination are completed, Dr. Takei focuses on helping you achieve
and maintain optimal health. At The Center, we determine and treat the causes of
health problems, not just the symptoms. Our comprehensive approach to your care
may include acupuncture, Chinese medicinal herbs, nutrition, supplementation,
bodywork, and lifestyle counseling.

Quinn Takei is the founder and director of The Center: Natural Health Specialists.  
Dr. Takei helps people live with a better quality of life through offering holistic
personalized care.  His comprehensive approach to patient care combines
acupuncture, Chinese medicinal herbs, homeopathy, nutrition, supplements,
bodywork, manipulation, and lifestyle counseling to help individuals achieve and
maintain their optimal health.  

Dr. Takei graduated with honors from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine
with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine degree.  He has trained with some of
the world’s leading authorities of Oriental Medicine as well as acupuncture and
herbal masters in the hospitals of Beijing and the world renowned Chengdu
University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.  

Quinn has been the president and vice president for the Acupuncture Oriental
Medicine Association of New Mexico, an instructor and clinical supervisor at the
International Institute of Chinese Medicine, served as a consultant for Integrated
Specialty Hospital of New Mexico, is the director of some of the largest Oriental
Medicine conferences in the nation, and is the author of “The Clinical Reference
Guide for Acupuncture” which is one of the top 25 recommended books on
acupuncture by the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
(AAAOM)

Dr. Takei is licensed as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in New Mexico and Licensed
Acupuncturist.  He is nationally board certified by the National Certification
Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine’s (NCCAOM) as a Diplomat of
Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbology.

Quinn currently lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife and three beautiful daughters.
