Rolfing Therapy

Rolfing® is a system of connective tissue manipulation that frees the body to move and shift.  By interrupting old patterns in the body, Rolfing® provides clients with space to find better and easier ways of moving and standing improving posture, and improving or often eliminating many issues of chronic pain.

Rolf Movement is a guided exploration of how your body moves and ways in which it could move better.  Movement work is often used as a complement to Rolfing®
sessions in order to help utilize the body’s full potential for motion.  It is also an
excellent tool for self-care and affecting structural change on one’s own.

Rolfing® is useful for those experiencing chronic pain from muscle injuries, patterns of use, or physical and emotional traumas. It can also be useful for performance, athletics, dancing, and practically any physical vocation as a way to help improve performance.  Because you are tapping into the mind/body connection, it can also be used by some psychotherapists and counselors as a support to their work with clients. In all of these cases, greater physical support and flexibility can positively influence energy levels and emotional health.

Rolfing® is very effective at treating the following conditions:

  • Back & Neck Pain

  • TMJ & other jaw issues

  • Chronic Headaches/Migraines

  • Frozen Shoulder

  • Sciatic Pain

  • Plantar Fasciitis

  • Scoliosis

  • Joint Pains

  • Carpal Tunnel & Repetitive Stress injuries

  • Whiplash & other crash related issues
