Biography:
The privilege of experiencing the impact of traditional medicine early in life inspired me to explore the practical wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and provide physical, mental, and emotional relief to others. My mission now is to share the benefits that a holistic approach offers to modern life.
I believe that health is multi-faceted and we are more than the sum of our parts. This means that the journey to wellness needs support that is not just personalized but adapts to change. I aim to address complex needs by meeting people where they’re at, targeting the underlying reasons for discomfort, and taking a comprehensive approach to achieve long-lasting improvement.
Much of the strength of traditional medicine comes from the hands-on approach to understanding an individual. Pulse diagnosis, a core element of Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostics, is one way we can get a feel, so to speak, of a person’s physical and emotional state of being. I integrate classical and Zhu-style pulse diagnosis with each patient’s own lived experience to build a clearer and more comprehensive picture of their unique needs.
My clients are diverse in what they are seeking treatment for and in their previous experiences within the healthcare system, but what is consistent and has shaped my practice is that they are all looking for someone who is actively interested in understanding and addressing their needs as an individual. I collaborate with patients to find solutions within my own therapeutic toolbox and help orient them with other resources when they feel lost or are having difficulty advocating for themselves in other healthcare contexts. Ultimately my role is to be available as a teammate by offering traditional therapies I provide personally and by encouraging agency in one’s own wellness journey.
