If you are interested in acupuncture through the VA, follow these steps to get a referral to our office:
Step 1: Connect with Your VA Provider
Meet with your VA Primary Care Provider (PCP) or the specialist managing your care.
Step 2: Request an Acupuncture Referral
Tell your provider you would like to add acupuncture to your healthcare routine. Ask for a referral for acupuncture services through the VA Community Care
Step 3: Wait for Authorization
The VA must approve and authorize your acupuncture services before appointments can be scheduled. Following up with your care coordinator and provider may help in expediting this authorization process.
Step 4: Get Scheduled with Our Office
Once your referral is approved, the VA will schedule your initial appointment with our office. We will reach out to you when we are notified that you have been booked!
Step 5: Prepare for our time together
We will reach out to you to confirm your appointment, send everything you will need to make the most of our time together and begin your healing process with acupuncture right away.
