Questions & Introspections for the New Year

New Year's Eve… how did this happen?

How did December happen? I feel like it is March.

Yet, here we are… at the last day of 2025.

I say it all the time, and it always sounds cliché, yet for me, it's also very true. For me, this is a time of natural introspection. We are transitioning to a brand-new year. We are stepping through the threshold of a significant maker in time. It seems almost impossible not to look back on this past year and reflect on what you have experienced. At the same time, as we look forward into the new year, we feel hopeful and see visions of desires we long to experience in this coming year.

So how did you do? I invite you to really lean into the following questions. I encourage you to spend time exploring your being for any answer that percolates from within. Write down your answers. Keep writing, unedited and unfiltered, until you are confident you have exhausted all responses. Most importantly...have fun.

Here we go...

As you reflect back on 2025, ask yourself...

  1. When did I feel the most alive?

  2. What was I doing and who was I being at these times?

  3. What reliably nourished my energy?

  4. What reliably drained my energy?

  5. Who did I become this past year?

And as you are at the very beginning of 2026 and look forward to the year to come, I invite you to also deeply consider and respond to the following questions.

  1. What kind of year do I want 2026 to feel like?

  2. What am I ready to release?

  3. What belief about myself is no longer true?

  4. Who do I desire to become in 2026?

  5. If I were radically honest, what does this year ask of me next?

The more I learn, the more I realize the less I know. As a result, there are not too many things I can say I know for certain. But I do believe here are some inevitable facts:

  • The year 2025 is over.

  • We are at the start of 2026.

  • 2026 will be composed of 365 days.

  • Each of these days will inevitably follow one after another, after another, after another…

  • What you do with each day and how you choose to show up for it and respond to what happens in each day- is very much up to you.

It is my hope that 2026 brings exactly what your actions and intentions ask for.

I wish you all a very happy New Year.
